Antique Silver Watch Chain with Dog Clip and Fob - 14.5" Long
This antique silver watch chain is made from lower grade silver. There’s a dog clip on one end and it has a good sized curb link. There are 2 round links . There’s a nice little fob hanging on one end, set with a white unengraved glass stone. There are 2 round links just along from the fob where a t-bar would originally have been, but this has been lost over time. The piece is unmarked but I’ve acid tested both chain and fob to confirm they are silver (they’re not sterling, more like 800 grade).
The chain measures 14.5” long so could be worn as a necklace/choker on a petite neck (bit too tight for me but then I’m not petite!). The links are 0.7cm wide across the front. It weighs 31 grams.
Condition: Very good antique condition. The dog clip’s closure is still good and springy. There’s very little rubbing wear to the links. Overall, it just has the usual light marks and tarnish to the silver which you'd expect on an antique item.
