Vintage Silver Gilt Fish with Ruby Eye Brooch
Here I have an unusual vintage sterling silver brooch in the form of a lovely detailed fish (a perch maybe?). When I got this chap, he had a horrible red paste stone for his eye, so I removed that and have re-set him with a genuine ruby. It suits him far better! His silver is gilded so he has a lovely warm golden glow which helps bring out the details on his scales and fins. He fastens with a c-clasp and metal pin on the back and is stamped Sterling Silver and Kenwood Series. Unfortunately, this is not a maker I'm familiar with.
Measures 5.9cm by 3.4cm. It weighs 12.4 grams.
Condition: Very good uncleaned vintage condition. Just has the usual light surface marks and tarnish which you'd expect on a vintage item.
