Victorian Turquoise Glass High Relief Cameo of Raphael's Cherub with Silver Fittings
This beautiful Victorian pendant is made from opaque turquoise glass. It features a high relief cameo of one of Raphael’s cherubs. He’s sitting upon a cloud, resting his chin on his hand, staring wistfully into the distance. The detail is fantastic! The bale and supporting post on the back are unmarked but test as silver. Please note - the chain is just for display and is not included.
Measures 5.3cm long with the bale and 2.9cm wide. Weighs 13.5 grams.
Condition: Excellent antique condition. No chips, cracks or fleabites at all that I can spot, it really is in fabulous condition (it was absolutely filthy when it came to me….covered in 100+ years of dust and grime but it’s cleaned up beautifully!). Just has the usual light marks and tarnish to the silver which you’d expect on an antique piece.
