This vintage pendant is made from sterling silver. It’s one of a series of Art Nouveau inspired zodiac pendants produced by the Birmingham Mint in 1979. This one depicts Capricorn, with a lady and goat, standing in front of a floral arch with snowdrop flowers in the foreground. The detail on these is just beautiful! The back is decorated with stars and there’s a large bale at the top. The front has a full UK Hallmark (just below the snowdrops), from the Birmingham Assay Office with the date letter for 1979 and the BM maker’s mark.

With the bale, the total length is 4.2cm and it’s 1.7cm wide. Weighs 6.3 grams.

Condition: Very good vintage condition. Just has the usual light marks and tarnish to the silver which you’d expect on a vintage piece.
