Vintage 9ct Gold and Large Pale Smokey Quartz Pendant
This vintage pendant is made from 9ct yellow gold. It’s set with a very pale smokey quartz, the colour is bordering very close to citrine with some champagne tones when the light catches it. The setting has been carefully handmade for the stone and is a perfect, snug fit. It’s set within 6 sturdy claws, and the side of the mount features a pair of stylised leaves within the band of each claw. There are no hallmarks but it acids tests as around 9ct. There’s a good sized bale at the top for hanging. I’d say it dates from the 1950s/60s.
The total length with the bale at the top is 3.2cm and it’s 1.8cm across the widest point. The quartz alone is 2.1cm x 1.8cm x 1.4cm. Weighs 8.6 grams.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. Just has the usual light marks which you’d expect on a vintage piece.
