Vintage 9ct Gold Turtle Tortoise Pendant / Charm - London 1962
This vintage charm or pendant is made from 9ct yellow gold. It’s shaped like a tortoise or turtle and it has detail back and front. It’s hollow, so it’s fairly lightweight, and there’s a full UK hallmark on the back, from the London Assay Office. The date letter is tricky to make out but I’m pretty sure it’s 1962. The maker is GJ Ltd, meaning it was originally sold through the Georg Jensen franchise store in London but was not made by Jensen. There’s a split ring at the top for hanging.
The total length with the split ring at the top is 2.3cm (the turtle alone is 1.7cm) and it’s 1.3cm across the widest point. Weighs 1.3 grams.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. Just has the usual light marks which you’d expect on a vintage piece.
