Antique 9ct Gold Working Whistle Charm / Pendant
This antique charm or pendant is made from 9ct gold. It’s in the form of a whistle and IT WORKS! It’s very shrill and a bit fiddly to blow because it’s so small, but it definitely works! It’s unmarked but acid tests as 9ct gold and there’s a faintly engraved acanthus leaf pattern going around it with a tiny cartouche on the front where initials could be engraved. It has a small split ring at the top for hanging.
Without the split ring/bale, the length is 2.3cm and it’s 0.7cm wide. Total height with the split ring is 2.9cm. Weighs 1.3 grams.
Condition: Very good antique condition. No dinks or damage; old whistles often have bite marks around the mouthpiece but this one is pretty pristine! Just has the usual very light surface marks and tarnish to the gold which you’d expect on an antique piece.
