1979 Vintage Sterling Silver Adam & Eve Love Pendant - Splittable!
This vintage pendant is made from sterling silver. It’s in the shape of an apple and has Adam and Eve on the front, about to take a bite from the forbidden fruit! Interestingly, the pendant has a seam line running down part of the centre so, if you wished, you could snap it in half and give half to your beloved…or just keep it whole as it is. The back has the same design on either “half” of an apple, with the snake coiling down towards it. There’s some text in the centre, possibly Latin, but I can’t make it out. There’s a full UK hallmark on the front, from the London Assay Office with the date letter for 1979.
Without the bales, the total length is 3.0cm and it’s 2.6cm wide. Weighs 6.2 grams.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. Just has the usual light marks and tarnish to the silver which you’d expect on a vintage piece and there’s a horizontal scratch mark on the back where it looks like someone has previously acid tested it.
