Vintage Gold Plated Sterling Silver Egyptian Pyramid Pendant with Ruby - Nefertiti and Hieroglyphs
This vintage pendant is made from sterling silver which has been heavily gold plated. It’s in the shape of a pyramid, with Nefertiti on one side, below a sun. If you look closely, each corner contains a different symbol - an eye of Horus, an ankh, and an omega. It’s nicely made - Nefertiti and the sun are not gold plated, so they stand out in contrast to the gold plated background of the pyramid. On the back are some hieroglyphs. Set above the pyramid is a pink stone which tests as s ruby (I imagine it’s man made/synthetic) and there’s a fixed bale at the top. It’s stamped 925 for solid silver, there’s also a full UK hallmark although it’s tiny and tricky to decipher.
With the bale, the total length is 3.4cm and it’s 2.6cm wide, and 0.25cm deep. Weighs 7.8 grams.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. Just has the usual light marks and tarnish to the silver which you’d expect on a vintage piece.
