Antique Unusual German East Africa Silver Rupie Coin Bracelet - 917 Grade Silver
This unusual antique bracelet is made from 9 1/4 Rupie silver coins from German East Africa (Deutsch Ostafrika), dating from 1906 to 1914. It fastens with a concealed box clasp which is also made from a coin. The bracelet is designed to be worn with Kaiser Wilhelm II facing upwards, though if you don’t mind the clasp being upside-down, you could wear it the other way too. The coins have a silver content of 917, which is just slightly below sterling (925).
Measures 7.75” in length and the coins are 1.9cm wide across the front. It weighs 33 grams.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. The clasp snaps shut nicely and stays closed. The detail on the coins is still quite crisp. Overall, it just has the usual light marks to the silver which you’d expect on a vintage item.
