Art Nouveau Charm Bracelet with Goddess Medals, Padlock and Acorn
This antique bracelet features a sturdy curb link (solid not hollow) with a bolt ring clasp and safety chain attached. Each link of the chain is soldered closed and it has a good weight to it so it feels good quality. In the middle of the chain are 3 charm-holder rings have been soldered on. The centre features a large medal of a goddess, she sits within a flower shaped background, has her eyes closed and a wreath of leaves in her hair. There’s a dove and a lily to her right. On the lefthand loop is a smaller goddess medal, the details are slightly worn on this one but you can see she’s placed in the centre of a pansy shaped flower, has long flowing hair and the remnants of flowers in her hair. One the right hand loop is a padlock charm, with detail on both sides; I suspect this is a replacement from some point in its past and originally it would have had a third goddess medal. There’s also a small acorn hanging on the end of the safety chain. There are no stamps on any part of the bracelet or charms so I’m selling it as white metal. It’s definitely NOT sterling. It may be low grade continental silver but I can’t differentiate this with an acid test so “white metal”.
Measures 8” in total length. The chain links are 0.8cm wide across the front. The central medal is 2.9cm across. It weighs 38.5 grams.
Condition: Very good antique condition. The acorn has a few dinks but everything else is in lovely order and the spring on the clasp is still good and springy! Overall it just has the usual light marks and tarnish which you’d expect on an antique item.
