Victorian Sterling Silver Rampant Lion Brooch

This antique brooch is made from sterling silver. It depicts a rampant lion, traditionally used in heraldry to signify honour, courage, strength and valour. It fastens with a c-clasp and steel pin, and the hinge is made from brass, for strength and durability. It’s stamped as Silver on the back. Dates from c. 1890.

Measures 3.7cm x 2.6cm. Weighs 11 grams.

Condition: Very good antique condition. Just has the usual light marks and tarnish which you’d expect on an antique item.
