This antique brooch is made from silver and handpainted enamel. It depicts a boat, sailing on a mountain lake in the moonlight. The colours are beautiful and the design of the brooch itself, with the scalloped and scrolled edging reminiscent of acanthus leaves, is lovely. It fastens with a c-clasp and steel pin, and is unmarked but acid tests as silver. Dates from c. 1890.

Measures 2.9cm x 2.9cm. Weighs 7.2 grams.

Condition: Very good antique condition. The enamel is perfect. Just has the usual light marks and tarnish to the silver which you’d expect on an antique item.
