Antique Victorian Silver Aesthetic Forget-me-not Flowers Brooch

£20.00
sold out

This antique brooch is made of silver. It’s in the aesthetic style and features applied flowers in the centre with engraved decoration to the sides and a beaded edge. The flowers appear to be Forget-me-nots, which were popular in the Victorian era as symbols of remembrance for people lost, but also as a sign of true love and devotion. It fastens with a c-clasp and steel pin on the back. As with many antique pieces, it's unmarked but acid tests as silver.

Measures 4.3cm across.

Weighs 5 grams.

Condition: Very good antique condition. Some of the silver beads around the edge have tiny dinks and pin-prick sized air holes. The pin is original and secure. Overall, it just has the usual light surface marks and tarnish to the silver which you’d expect to find on an antique piece.
