Edwardian Carved Jasper Heart Pendant with 18ct Gold Leaf Bale

£135.00
sold out

This antique heart pendant is made from a beautiful carved jasper gemstone (poppy jasper I think?), with a leaf and vine design bale in solid 18ct gold. The jasper has incredible colouration - with a sandy base, interspersed with brick red “poppies” with creamy white centres. The bale is stamped 18c on the loop. Dates from c. 1910. ((The photos are taken outside in natural light - the last 2 are in direct sunlight, the rest are in shade.))

The pendant, including the bale, is 4.1cm long x 2.9cm wide. Weighs 11.0 grams.

Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. No chips, cracks or damage to the heart; it has a few little pits in the surface but this are a natural part of the stone, not damage. The bale is sturdy and shows barely any signs of wear. Overall, it’s in excellent antique condition.
