Vintage/Antique Black Cat Early Plastic Charm / Pendant
This vintage/antique charm or small pendant is made from an early plastic. It depicts a seated black cat, with green painted eyes. It looks very reminiscent of the Czech pressed glass cats from the 1930s, but this is the first plastic version I have come across. The black ring which holds the bale appears to be painted metal embedded into the plastic, and there’s a small sterling silver jump ring for hanging.
The cat itself measures 2.2cm high and 1.7cm wide. Weighs 1.8 grams.
Condition: Good uncleaned vintage condition. There are tiny fleabites around the tips of the ears and the end of the nose is you look very closely.
