Antique Solid Silver Cockeral / Rooster Double Sided Pendant
This pendant is made from solid high-grade silver. It came to me as a medal, probably the prize from a county show, and I’ve converted it to make it a unique wearable piece. I made the loop and chunky bale from recycled sterling silver - I’ve given the bale a hammered texture so it appears aged and I’ve soldered it shut. The medal itself is double sided with a very handsome rooster on the front, and a laurel wreath on the back with space in the centre for engraving, although it has never been engraved. It dates from c.1900 and as with many antique pieces is unmarked but is guaranteed to be high grade silver.
Please note - the chain is for display only and is not included.
The pendant, including the bale, is 4.8cm long x 3.2cm wide. Weighs 15.6 grams.
Condition: Very good antique condition. Just has the usual light marks which you’d expect on an antique piece.
