Vintage 1978 24kt on Sterling Silver Mayan Calendar Pendant by Franklin Mint on 23" Chain
This vintage pendant is made from sterling silver with a thick 24kt gold plating so it looks like solid gold. It depicts the Mayan calendar, with the same design on both sides, and the detail is wonderful! It’s marked as 24kt on 925/1000 (sterling) on the side, along with the Franklin Mint maker’s mark and the 78 date stamp, plus there’s also a full UK import hallmark on there, again with the Franklin Mint maker’s stamp and the 1978 date letter. There’s a split-ring bale at the top and it hangs on it’s original 23” gold washed sterling silver curb chain.
Measures 3.2cm wide. With the bale it’s 3.9cm long. The chain is 23” long. Together they weigh 21 grams.
Condition: Very good uncleaned vintage condition. The gold plating on the pendant is excellent with just some very minute marks on the edge of the pendant which are only really visible under a lens.
