Antique Solid Silver Wheat Wreath Victorian Locket / Pendant

£85.00
sold out

This antique locket is made from solid silver. The design on the front features a wheat wreath or crown tired with a ribbon. Wheat has been a symbol of fertility, abundance and growth since ancient times. Inside there’s room for 2 photos; one side still has it’s little removable frame intact, the other has lost its frame but if you cut your photo to the right size it will stay in place. On the back is a hand engraved monogram and I think the initials are REC. As with many antique pieces, it’s unmarked but acid tests as silver.

Measurees 5.1cm long including the bale and 2.8cm wide. Weighs 10 grams.

Condition: Good uncleaned antique condition. It clicks shut firmly and stays closed perfectly. There are some minor dinks here and there but overall, it just has the usual marks and tarnish to the silver which you'd expect on an antique item.
