Antique Carved Whitby Jet Snowflake Pendant with Silver Bale
This antique pendant is made from Whitby Jet. It’s in the shape of a snowflake and the split ring at the top tests as silver. Jet was one of the most popular jewellery materials during the Victorian era, when this was made. This was largely due to Queen Victoria wearing it frequently after the death of her husband, during the latter part of her reign.
Measures 3.8cm wide and 1.0cm deep. Weighs 8 grams.
Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. Just has the usual light surface scuffs and very minor scratches which you’d expect on an antique item.
