Vintage Sterling Silver Heart Locket and 17" Chain - Heavy 16g
Here I have a vintage sterling silver heart locket on a 17” sterling chain. The locket has a good weight to it, it doesn’t feel at all flimsy and there’s a nice amount of space inside. It has a full UK silver hallmark on the bale and its stamped 925 inside. It hangs on a 17” chain which is also marked for sterling silver and although it’s a fairly narrow chain, it has a nice sturdy link.
The main body of the locket measures 2.5cm long and 2.4cm wide. With the bale, the total height is 3.5cm. Weighs 16.7 grams with the chain.
Condition: Very good uncleaned vintage condition. It has some light surface scuffs from past use which could probably be polished out. The hinge and closure are good and it clicks shut. Overall, it just has the usual marks and tarnish to the silver which you'd expect on a vintage item.
