1912 Antique Sterling Silver Horseshoe Locket with Lucky Heather
Here I have an antique sterling silver horseshoe shaped locket. It has a horseshoe and riding crop on the front. Inside, there’s some dried heather behind glass on one side, the other side has lost its glass but still has the little frame which would hold your own photo in place. There’s a full UK hallmark on the back, from the Birmingham Assay office, with the date letter for 1912. It has a split ring at the top for hanging on a chain.
The main body of the locket measures 2.0cm long and 1.8cm wide. With the bale, the total height is 2.9cm. Weighs 3.7 grams.
Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. It has some light surface marks and a few very minor pin-prick sized dinks from past use. The hinge and closure are good and it clicks shut. Overall, it just has the usual marks and tarnish to the silver which you'd expect on an antique item.
