Antique French Silver Plated Thistle Sliding Mirror Pendant
Here I have a beautiful antique French sliding mirror pendant, featuring a thistle on the front and an empty cartouche on the back where initials could be engraved. The front slides across revealing the original mirror inside, which has a little spotting but overall is in good useable condition. I believe the piece is made from heavy silver plating over base metal on the back. The front could POSSIBLY be low grade continental silver, I haven’t tested it so am selling just as silver-plated.
Measures 5.1cm long including the bale and 4.0cm wide. Weighs 11.3 grams.
Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. There’s no stopper mechanism to hold the lid closed so it has a tendency to open a little as you wear it. Structurally, it just has the usual marks and wear which you'd expect on an antique item.
