1837 Sterling Silver Letter H Decanter Label / Pendant - Great Hallmarks!

£195.00
sold out

Here I have a sterling silver letter H, hallmarked in Glasgow in 1837. It was originally a decanter label but can now be worn as a pendant. It has lovely large hallmarks on one side, and the other side is undecorated. The hallmarks are from the Glasgow Assay Office, with the 1837 date letter, the king’s head duty mark, and the maker’s initials RG&S for Robert Gray and Son. I’ve included a modern 18” sterling silver chain.

The H measures 2.6cm long (not including the loops at the top), and 2.8cm wide. With the chain, it weighs 9 grams.

Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. Just has the usual marks to the silver which you'd expect on an antique item.
