1898 Sterling Silver Pill Shaped Tiny Keepsake Box / Vessel - Hallmarked
This antique box is made from sterling silver. It’s shaped like a pill, opening in the middle to reveal a space within to store something tiny. I think it originally held a cigar holder as there are some traces of black still inside (these would probably clean out, I haven’t tried). Please note it is just a box - NOT jewellery! I do not think it is suitable for converting to a pendant as the 2 halves don’t hold together tightly enough to be secure.
Mesures 4.4cm x 1.4cm. Weighs 4.9 grams.
Condition: Good uncleaned antique condition. Has some minor surface dinks here and there commensurate with its age. As mentioned, the 2 halves hold together but not tightly and there are some black marks on the inside.
