Antique Victorian Silver & Garnet Cherub BROOCH
Here I have an antique Victorian silver brooch, in the form of a winged cherub, with a foiled flat-cut garnet hanging within a scrolled drop below. It fastens with a c-clasp and steel pin on the back (I can convert it to a pendant for £40 extra, please email to arrange this prior to purchase)
Unmarked but tests as silver and believed to be German or Austro-Hungarian in origin.
The detail to the wings and the serene look on the cherubs face are splendid, my photos don't really do this piece justice!
Measures 3.7cm x 3.8cm. Weighs 7.8 grams.
Condition: Excellent uncleaned antique condition. No damage or signs of repairs. Just has the usual very light marks and tarnish which you'd expect on an antique item.
