Vintage Sterling Silver and Paste Duette Transformable Brooch
Here I have a vintage sterling silver pair of dress clips on a removable framework brooch, known as a duette. They can either be worn together as one large brooch or separately as 2 dress clips. They're made of rhodium plated Sterling Silver and are encrusted throughout with lots of sparkly little white paste stones in an Art Deco design. The brooch part fastens with a rollover clasp and the clips snap on and off. I don't believe the frame is sterling silver - just the clips. They're stamped as sterling on the back.
As a complete brooch, it measures 5.9cm by 2.4cm. Weighs 31.0 grams.
Condition: Good uncleaned vintage condition. No missing stones - most have dulled a bit with age and a few look like they’ve been glued back in place but this is reflected in the price. Overall, it just has the usual light marks which you'd expect on a vintage item. The first photos are taken in shade and the last ones in direct sunlight.
