Antique French Sterling Silver & Paste Velvet Ribbon Bracelet
Here I have a beautiful quality antique French silver and paste velvet ribboned bracelet. It features the most beautiful slide, with matching paste-set push-in clasp at the back. The tongue of the clasp is 9ct gold for durability, the rest of sterling silver. It’s stamped with the maker’s mark of The Parisian Diamond Co who sold high quality paste jewellery from around 1890 to 1910.
Measures 6" long so it’s for a more petite wrist, though it's designed to fit snugly. It’d be a simple sewing project to replace the ribbon with something a bit longer (choker length would be fabulous!).
The slide measures 3.1cm x 2.3cm. The velvet ribbon is 1.6cm wide. It weighs 9.1 grams.
Condition: Very good antique condition. No missing stones. All the stones on the slide are still very good and sparkly, the ones on the clasp have yellowed a tiny bit with age. The ribbon is in lovely condition. Overall, it just has the usual surface marks and tarnish to the silver which you'd expect on an antique item.
