Vintage/Antique 9ct Gold Owl on Full Moon with Ruby Eyes Necklace
This vintage/antique necklace is made from 9ct yellow and rose gold. It features a little owl, who’s yellow gold with a rose gold belly, and set with ruby eyes. It’s hard to capture in the photos but he has lovely hand-engraved detailing over his entire body. He sits within a circular perch, hanging within a larger circle, representing the full moon. This all hangs from 2 chains going up to a tiny connector, which then joins to the longer chain of the necklace. I think it is an antique piece and the clasp has been replaced more recently for a modern bolt ring. The whole thing tests as 9ct and the clasp is marked 375.
It wears at 18” long. The pendant drop is 3.7cm and the largest “moon” is 1.9cm across. Weighs 3.5 grams.
Condition: Very good vintage/antique condition. One eye appears to have been replaced at some point but both test as ruby. Clasp works perfectly. The chain is in great condition. Just the usual light surface marks which you’d expect on a vintage/antique item.
