Vintage Sterling Silver & Czech Pressed Glass Parrot in Cage Necklace
This vintage necklace is made from sterling silver and pressed glass. The pendant features a striking red and yellow parrot, sitting within an ornate cage. It’s been cleverly made, with the parrot carved and painted onto the reverse on the piece and the bars of the cage carved into the front, giving you get the feeling of depth. It’s almost certainly Czech in origin and dating from around 1920. The bale ring at the top is sterling silver and it hangs on a more recent 16” sterling silver chain.
Measure 3.9cm by 2.5cm including the bale at the top.
Weighs 12.5 grams with the chain.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. The pendant has some light nibbing around the edges, but is generally in very good condition with just the usual light marks and tarnish which you’d expect on a vintage piece.
