Victorian Huge Grey Stone Bezel Set Brooch - Scottish?
Here I have a huge Victorian brooch, set with a cabochon of a mottled grey gemstone. I think it’s probably Scottish as that’s where most of this interesting pebble jewellery originates. It’s set within a simple bezel and it fastens with a c-clasp. I do not think it’s silver, unless it’s very low grade. I’d say it’s more likely to be nickel or some similar white metal.
Measures 5.7cm x 4.3cm. It weighs 19 grams.
Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. No damage. Just has the usual light surface marks and tarnish to the metal which you'd expect on an antique item.
