Vintage Sterling Silver Book Shaped Locket by Kordes & Lichtenfels, Germany
This vintage locket is made from sterling silver. It’s designed to resemble a book, with an embossed design on the front and back. Inside, there’s room for 2 small photos and the original frames and plastic coverslips are still intact. The bale at the top is marked for Sterling silver and the initials K&L, for Kordes & Lichtenfels, who were a Germany company founded in Pforzheim.
The locket is 3.2cm long including the bale at the top and 1.7cm wide. It weighs 6.7 grams.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. Clicks shut nicely. Just has the usual light marks and tarnish which you'd expect on a vintage item.
