Georgian 15ct Gold & Seed Pearl Mourning Brooch / Pin - High Domed Glass

£115.00
sold out

Here I have a beautiful antique Georgian mourning brooch, set with a halo of seed pearls around the outside of a high-domed glazed panel with hairwork below. The glass is so thick it magnifies the hair below rather impressively! The brooch is unmarked but tests as at least 15ct. Fastens with the original c-clasp, though the pin has been replaced at some point.

Measures 2.6cm by 1.7cm. It weighs 5.3 grams.

Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. No missing stones and they all appear to be original. As mentioned, the pin of the clasp has been replaced at some point. Overall, it just has the usual light marks to the gold which you'd expect on an antique item.
