This antique necklace is made from 800 grade silver. It dates from around 1890 and the pendant is in a beautiful stylised leaves design, very typical of the Art Nouveau period, and it’s set with closed-back white paste stones with an open backed purple paste in the centre. It hangs on a 17” silver chain with 4 matching purple pastes set along the length. It fastens with a push-in barrel clasp. The photos are taken outside in the shade and also bright sunshine.

The pendant is 5.5cm long. including the bale and the little dangly drop at the bottom, and 2.5cm wide. The chain is 17” long including the clasp.

Condition: The pendant is in very good antique condition. No missing stones and they all appear to be original. Just has the usual very light marks and wear to the silver which you'd expect on an antique item. The chain has some thinning to the links on either side of the paste stones, these will need replacing at some point in the future. This wear to the chain is reflected in the price.
