Antique Victorian Silver and Scottish Agate Panel Bracelet

£145.00
sold out

This antique bracelet is made from unmarked silver and bezel set with 7 beautiful Scottish agates in hand-pierced mounts. Each panel is connected by 2 tiny handmade chains, and it fastens with a push-in clasp. As with many antique pieces, it’s unmarked but acid tests as silver.

It measures 18cm/7” long (not including the tongue of the clasp) and 3.1cm wide. It weighs 27 grams.

Condition: In very good antique condition. No damage to any of the stones and the clasp clicks shut perfectly and stays closed. The connecting chains are all completely handmade from individual figure-of-8 links which aren’t soldered shut, I’ve been through them all and made sure they’re all as closed as much possible but please remember this is an antique piece, made using different techniques to modern jewellery, and as such it must be worn with care. A few of the little chains have been replaced at some point with more recent ones; a comparison of original and replaced is shown in the last 2 photos, but this is only noticeable on very close inspection.
