Victorian High Carat Gold and Scarab Beetle Egyptian Revival Ring - Size R / 8.75
This fantastic Victorian gold ring features a real scarab beetle shell in a closed back setting. The beetle is almost black with a slightly green sheen. The gold is unmarked but tests as high carat, which was typical of Egyptian Revival jewellery of this period.
It fits as around a size R (US 8.75). The face of the ring is 1.5cm north to south. Weighs 2 grams.
Condition: Very good antique condition. The operculum is in lovely order with no scuffs, cracks or scratches and the gold has barely any signs of past use.
