Vintage Theodore Fahrner Sterling Silver Gilt and Marcasite Leaves Brooch
Here I have a vintage brooch by Theodore Fahrner. It’s made of sterling silver and is in the form of a spray of 3 leaves. There are marcasites set in the centre of the leaves and a swirly tendril running between them. The leaves are gilded for a golden appearance and have an engraved texture giving them a matte finish. The back is signed with the TF maker’s mark, Sterling and Germany. It fastens with a rollover clasp. The photos are taken outside in a mix of bright sun and shade.
Measures 5.3cm x 3.5cm wide. It weighs 9 grams.
Condition: Very good uncleaned vintage condition. There are 4 tiny missing marcasites which would be easily replaced if you can source small enough ones; it’s barely noticeable but is reflected in the price. The clasp works perfectly. Overall it has the usual light surface marks which you'd expect on a vintage item.
