Vintage Navajo Silver & Inlaid Gemstone Lizard Brooch by Arnold Maloney
This vintage sterling silver Navajo brooch is made of sterling silver. It’s set with opal, onyx and coral on the back of the lizard and has stamped detailing for the eyes and by the tail. It’s signed Sterling and M on the back, which I believe is the maker’s mark of Arnold Maloney. It fastens with a rollover clasp.
Measures 6.8cm x 2.5cm and weighs 7 grams.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. There’s a fracture line running across one opal which most likely happened when it was originally set into the piece; it’s only noticeable on very close inspection and it doesn’t detract or affect the integrity of the stones. Just has the usual marks and tarnish to the silver which you’d expect on a vintage piece.
