Vintage Silver Large Lizard Taxco Brooch - By Maria Pineda
Vintage Silver Large Lizard Brooch - By Maria Pineda
Here I have a fantastic vintage solid silver brooch, in the form of a lizard. He fastens with a rollover clasp on the back and is signed "Pineda's Taxco TP-17 Mexico 970". It was made by Maria Pineda, a talented silversmith who worked for Hector Aguilar, Antonio Pineda, and later Margot de Taxco.
Measures 8.2cm across at the widest point.
It weighs 11.2 grams.
Condition: Very good uncleaned vintage condition. He's lost a toe from a back foot, but otherwise he's in very good order with just the usual light surface marks and tarnish which you'd expect on a vintage item.
