Antique 800 Silver and Enamel Opening Moses Basket Charm / Pendant
This antique charm or pendant is made from 800 grade silver. It’s in the shape of a moses basket, and it has an enamelled scene on the lid of houses and palm trees. The lid is secured by a little wire latch and it hinges open to reveal that the inside is gilded. This would origanally have held a tiny silver baby inside, but this has been lost. It’s stamped 800 inside the lid and it has a good sized jump ring at the top for hanging.
The pendant is 2.1cm x 1.1cm x 0.7cm including the bale. It weighs 2 grams.
Condition: Very good uncleaned vintage condition. The enamel is excellent. Just has the usual surface marks and tarnish to the silver which you'd expect on a vintage item.
