Antique African Currency Manilla Bangle in Low Grade Silver
This antique African currency bangle, or manilla, is made from low grade silver and it weighs a whopping 170 grams! It’s stamped with Arabic hallmarks on the knuts at the end of the torque and on the back of the bangle.
You’d need fairly small hands to wear this; the silver is very, very thick so has no spring to it whatsoever, so you’d need to be able to fit your paw in the gap, which measures 5.8cm across and 5.2cm in the other direction. It then measures about 7” around the inside.
Condition: The bangle is in very good antique condition with just the usual marks and scratches you’d expect.
