Antique Georgian Silver Cannetille Key to My Heart Betrothal Ring - Size L / 6
This antique ring is made from solid silver and it dates from around 1820. It features beautiful cannetille (wirework) on the front, with a tiny key and witch’s heart which hang from tiny chains, symbolising the key to my heart. The band is embossed with a rope-like pattern and it has some continental stamps on the back of the band which are tricky to make out, however it acid tests as silver.
It’s about a UK size L or US 6. The band is 4mm wide at the back. The cannetille panel is 8mm wide north to south. It weighs 3.6 grams.
Condition: Very good antique condition. No damage or repairs, just the usual light marks and tarnish which you would expect on an antique item.
