1902 Sterling Silver Dragon or Griffin Pendant - Conversion
This pendant is made from sterling silver. It came to me as a button and I’ve converted it to make it a more wearable piece. I made the loop and chunky bale from recycled sterling silver - I’ve given the bale a hammered texture so it appears aged and I’ve soldered it shut. The pendant itself features a wonderful dragon (or wyvern? or griffin?!) with the tail curling round to frame the beast! This piece is hallmarked for sterling silver, with the date letter for 1902 and the maker’s initials L&S for Levi and Salaman.
There are several available, sold separately. The chain in the last photo is for display only and is not included.
The pendant, including the bale, is approx 4.5cm long x 2.9cm wide. Weighs 6.3 grams.
Condition: Very good antique condition. Just has the usual light marks and wear which you’d expect from an antique piece.
