HUGE Victorian Silver & Gold Overlay Flowers Ornate Antique Locket
Here I have an antique solid silver locket pendant. It features a beautiful raised central panel, with hand engraved flower and leaf detailing in the middle. The Forget-me-not flower is overlaid in 9ct rose gold and 2 of the leaves are yellow gold. It has a large bale at the top, and inside, it contains one of the original little frames to hold the photo in place; the other side has lost it's frame but if you cut the picture to the right size, it should stay put.
It's stamped SILVER on the bale and "SIL" inside the front.
The main body of the locket (without the bale at the top) measures 4.9cm high and 3.9cm wide. With the bale, it's total length is 6.2cm.
It weighs 21.6 grams.
Condition: Very good uncleaned antique condition. No dinks. Snaps shut -- to close it you need to press in the middle and also at the bottom, but once it's closed it stays shut firmly. Just has the usual surface marks and tarnish to the silver which you'd expect on an antique item..
