Vintage Sterling Silver, Blue John and Marcasite Ring - Size K / US 5.25
This vintage ring is made from sterling silver. It features a Derbyshire Blue John gemstone in the centre with a halo of sparkly marcasites around the outside. The Blue John was hard to capture in the photos but the stone goes from almost colourless at one end, to a very deep purple at the other. The band is stamped “Silver”.
It’s approx a UK K (US 5.25). The front of the ring measures 1.7cm x 1.3cm and the band is 0.2cm at the back. It weighs 3.6 grams.
Condition - Good vintage condition. The Blue John is in lovely condition with very little wear. One of the marcasites is split in half, the rest are in good order. Overall, it just has the usual marks and wear which you’d expect on a vintage item.
