Antique Solid Silver Festoon Necklace with 4 Mini Medals - Angel, Strawberry Fairy, Children and Girl
This Art Nouveau necklace is made from silver. It features 4 mini medals, depicting an angel, a boy and a girl, a girl in profile, and a fairy with strawberries. The chain is a sturdy cable link, with graduated swags hanging beneath each medal. It fastens with a barrel clasp that you push in a twist to lock into position - it is slightly sprung so wont open accidentally. The necklace is stamped as silver on the loops at each end of the clasp.
Dates from c.1900.
Each pendant is about 8-9mm wide. The chain is 17.5” long and the length of the festoon part, from the beginning of the first swag on the left, to the end of the last on the right is 4”. It weighs 9 grams.
Condition: Very good antique condition. No damage or repairs. Just has the usual light marks and tarnish to the silver which you'd expect on an antique item.
